Incident: ACIN abends after the overnight file reorganisation

ACIN shows an account at the branch counter; it runs ACCTINQ, which reads the VSAM file ACCTFILE. Every night job ACCTRORG reorganises that file: its first step closes and disables ACCTFILE in CICS, the reorganisation runs, and its last step, OPENFILE, opens and enables the file again. OPENFILE runs only if the earlier steps end RC 0. Last night a step ended RC 4 (a warning about an empty work file), and ACCTRORG finished at 05:40. Since the branches opened at 07:00, ACIN fails for every account. Find out why and get the branches working.
