Incident: MQ reason 2053, payment requests rejected
PAGE 07:40 SEV2 - Branch payments failing: PAYSEND reports MQ reason 2053 Region CICSPAY1 was restarted at 06:00 for maintenance
Branches send payment requests to the queue PAY.REQUEST on queue manager MQL1 (application PAYSEND). Application PAYRECV takes them off the queue and passes them to the payment system. Since about 07:30 PAYSEND has been rejecting requests with MQ reason code 2053. Region CICSPAY1, where the payment system runs, was restarted at 06:00. On this queue manager PAY.REQUEST has MAXDEPTH(5000). Find out why requests are rejected and get payments flowing again without losing any.
