Incident: S522 in the night posting run
Job BRPOSTRN ended ABEND=S522 in step RUN after about 30 minutes Night operations moved to automation last week: nobody watches the console overnight
BRPOSTRN compiles, links and runs BRPOST, which posts the branch file. In September change CHG4377 made BRPOST ask the operator to confirm before it posts. Since last week the night shift is automated and nobody answers console messages. Tonight the RUN step ended S522 after about 30 minutes. The application team has agreed the fix: the confirmation now comes from a control card the scheduler supplies in the job (SYSIN), and anything other than Y must still stop the run with RC 8. Find out what happened, make that change, and rerun.
