Incident: SQLCODE -407 onboarding two customers
Onboarding script failed: DSNT408I SQLCODE = -407 Branch: 'the new form has no opening date box any more'
The branch onboarding script adds new customers from the branch's form. The form was redesigned last week and no longer asks for the opening date, so the script now leaves that column out:
INSERT INTO CUSTOMER (CUST_ID, NAME, CITY, SEGMENT) VALUES ('C00018', 'Nora Vtoc', 'Kestrel Bay', 'R'), ('C00019', 'Omar Pds', 'Highmoor', 'P')
It failed with SQLCODE -407. Both customers opened their relationship with the bank today, 21 October 2026 (the branch confirmed it). Find out why the script fails and add the two customers correctly.
What you will do
- Run the script and read the -407
- Find the column that needs a value
- Add both customers with the confirmed date
