The job succeeded but produced nothing

Check these

1. Was the input file empty? Look at the record counts in the job output.
2. Did a filter exclude everything? A SORT INCLUDE or a program's selection criteria that no record matches produces a valid empty file.
3. Was the wrong generation read? A GDG referenced as (0) instead of (+1) inside the same job reads yesterday's data.
4. Was a DD coded as DUMMY? Reads hit end of file immediately and the job reports success.
5. Did an upstream job produce an empty file, so the failure is not here at all?
6. Is the date or parameter correct? A stale hard-coded PARM selects nothing.
